The Lounge Ahmedabad Airport Review

The Lounge in Ahmedabad Airport Terminal 1 is a big upgrade on the old Plaza Premium Lounge.

It has a full Indian breakfast, lots of seating and a range of drinks.

Terminal 1 is in the domestic terminal at Ahmedabad Airport. I got access with my Priority Pass membership. I secured 30% off through my Priority Pass tie-up.

The lounge at Ahmedabad Airport is a great place to fill up before your flight.

What I Liked

  • Gain entry with a Priority Pass
  • Full hot breakfast
  • Lots of seating
  • Tea and coffee available

What Could Be Improved

  • No alcohol
  • No masala chai

The Entry Requirements

I got into the lounge with my Priority Pass card.

I have a tie-up with Priority Pass offering 30% off membership. Signup here and get a 30% discount.

For me, Priority Pass makes sense. Airport restaurants charge $20+ for breakfast and coffee; here, you get the full spread included.

Priority Pass lounges can get busy. You can pre-book a timeslot for $7 to guarantee entry.

This is the only Priority Pass lounge in Ahmedabad Airport Terminal 1.

The Location

The Lounge is located in Ahmedabad Airport Terminal 1. The domestic terminal.

After security, it’s a 5 minute walk. You need to go up one level, to the 1st floor. It’s next to the food court.

It’s the only lounge in the terminal.

The Lounge

The Lounge at Ahmedabad Airport is basically a rectangle with a buffet counter against the wall.

There’s a range of seating. The seating is mostly low-style lounge seating with low tables. There were also some high tables and stools.

The lounge itself doesn’t have its own toilets. You need to use the toilets in the terminal, which are right outside the lounge. This is obviously not ideal.

The Food

The food was super impressive. They had a full Indian breakfast.

  • Idli
  • Cook to order dosa
  • Misal Pav
  • Noodle soup
  • Toast
  • Poha
  • Upma
  • Medu vada
  • Cereals
  • Cut fruits
  • Yoghurts
  • Pastries
  • Chicken Sausages

Really good variety of dishes—I had some idli, toast and some breadsticks. The food was freshly made and solid. It set me up for my 2-hour flight to Bangalore.

The Drinks

Tea and coffee were served from a machine. There were only a few varieties of tea bags available. Sadly, no masala chai.

I had been in India for three weeks at this point. I had come to expect Masala Chai everywhere I go!

There were some cold drinks available. This included juices and sodas. I had a green tea. It was pretty average.

My Take

The Ahmedabad Airport lounge in Terminal 1 is a proper upgrade on what came before. The breakfast is genuinely impressive — fresh idli, dosa, medu vada, the whole spread. It kept me satisfied for my 2-hour flight to Bangalore. The space works too, with good seating options.

The drinks are the weak point — small tea selection, no masala chai (which is a real miss), and the green tea I tried was pretty average. No alcohol either, but the breakfast makes up for it.

With Priority Pass access, this Ahmedabad airport lounge option is absolutely worth your time. It's the only option in Terminal 1, and the food alone makes it a solid choice before your flight.

If you're a Priority Pass member, the No1 Lounge at Luton is worth exploring for a comparison of other network options.
