Paris Hotel Disneyland – Radisson Blu Review

I stayed for 3 nights at the Radisson Blu Paris, Marne-la-Vallée, and it exceeded all expectations. The Radisson is best value hotel near Disneyland Paris, and I can definitely recommend it. There is a free shuttle bus service to Disneyland and a whole host of activities on site.

I’d heard mixed reports about the hotel and wasn’t sure what to expect. So I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at the hotel.

Book your stay at the Radisson Blu here.

It’s one of the few Disneyland Paris hotels with pools. The swimming pool is really nice.

Of the hotels that are close to Disneyland Paris, the Radisson Blu is the cheapest. Although it’s not a super luxury hotel. I paid €170 per night, for four people.

The CampanileVal de France is another budget option. The price is similar to the Radisson Blu. They also have a 10 minute shuttle bus to get to the Park. However, the hotel isn’t as nice as the Radisson. There’s no swimming pool.

In the article, I also cover the Marriott Village D’ile De France. Which is an alternative for Disneyland Paris. The Marriott is a spectacular hotel with townhouses to stay in, an outdoor pool and other activities.

This page on my website has my favourite travel tools. To travel more and travel better.

How can I find budget-friendly hotels close to Disneyland Paris?

This is something that many people ask. Sadly, Paris Hotels Disneyland aren’t cheap. They saw you coming! You won’t find true budget hotels really close to Disneyland.

What I Liked

  • Free shuttle bus to Disneyland Paris
  • Swimming pool and Sauna
  • Bikes for rent
  • Decent price for the room
  • Modern Property
  • A great option for Paris Hotels Disneyland

What Could Be Improved

  • My Radisson Gold Status wasn’t acknowledged

The Location

The Radisson Blu is located in Marne-la-Vallée, on the outskirts of Paris. This whole district is dominated by Disneyland Paris. There’s a lot of Paris Hotels Disneyland.

You have Disneyand Paris and Walt Disney Studios in the Disney Village. There’s also a luxury outlet mall (La Vallee Village).

The Radisson has a free shuttle bus, that goes every 30 minutes to Disneyland Paris. As I was waiting for the bus, I could see all the kids getting excited. Talking about the Disney characters!

The free shuttle bus is a terrific facility and runs until midnight. Disneyland is located next to the train station. From there, you can travel all over Europe. This was perfect for me. I arrived by train with my family. We then took the free shuttle to the hotel.

We also took the same shuttle from the hotel back to the Disneyland Paris.

The surrounding area of Les Villages Nature is really nice. The hotel is nestled within French countryside.

If you need a car rental to get around, I always recommend Local Rent. I don’t use the big car rental companies any more. As they’re really bad. Hertz has a 1.2* rating on Trustpilot. Local Rent works with local car rental companies. They have a 4.8* rating on Trustpilot. They offer low deposits. Many companies have €0 deposit. Average is €300. Book your car rental with Local Rent here.

The Booking

The Radisson Blu is one of the best value hotels near Disneyland Paris. A great option for Paris Hotels Disneyland.

We paid €515 to stay at the hotel for 3 nights. We stayed in a family room, with 4 of us. This is an excellent rate, given that we stayed in the middle of summer.

You can book your stay at the Radisson Blu here.

The Radisson Blu Hotel

There’s also a ton of hotels in the area, serving visitors to the Disney Parks. There’s a lot of competition for Paris Hotels Disneyland.

The Radisson Blu is located next to the Marriott's Village d'ile-de-France. The Marriott is definitely a step above the Radisson Blu. You stay in actual townhouses – rather than rooms.

The Radisson Blu also has the following amenities:

  • Swimming Pool
  • Sauna and Hammam
  • Table Tennis
  • Pool table
  • Bikes for rent
  • Large grounds

I was impressed with this package of facilities. We were worried that we wouldn’t be able to fill 4 days at the hotel. In practise, we were busy the entire time. We visited Disneyland Paris and the outlet mall.

I also rented bikes with my family and used the swimming pool. I wouldn’t describe the hotel as a full on resort. However, it’s definitely not just a bed factory. There’s some good activities.

The hotel isn’t near any town or village, so you’ll probably eat at the restaurant during your stay. We ate there twice, and found it to be decent. The food wasn’t bad. It was reasonably priced.

One sour note was the lack of elite benefits. I’m a Radisson Gold, but this got me precisely nothing during my stay at the hotel. The check in agent didn’t even acknowledge my Gold status.

There’s a dedicated lounge at the hotel entrance for guests to relax in. The hotel also has a small arcade with video games and activities to pay.

The Room

The room was smart and modern. We stayed in a superior family room on the 1st floor. We didn’t book a Club Room.

The superior room was the room we booked. We didn’t get any upgrade – despite being a Radisson Gold. In addition, we were assigned room 198. This is in the very farthest corner of the building. It was a full 5 minute walk to the lobby.

That being said, the room was pretty smart. It had the following features

  • Large Double bed and separate sofa bed
  • Lavazza coffee machine
  • Large desk
  • Smallish bathroom
  • French doors that opened on to a Juliet balcony

The room was a pretty good size. That can be seen from the photos above. As a family of 4, we didn’t feel cramped. I also really liked the Juliet balcony. It was pretty warm during my stay, and it was nice to open the balcony.

The décor of the room was certainly functional and no more. The bathroom also had a pretty simple design. This didn’t bother me, as I expected this. Radisson Hotels aren’t known for their opulent luxury!

The Breakfast

The breakfast was varied. They had the following options:

  • Hot buffet with bacon, sausages eggs etc.
  • Roast potatoes
  • Cook to order eggs
  • Self service pancake machine
  • Selection of breads and cheese
  • Pastries
  • Fruits
  • Cold Cuts
  • Cereals
  • Tea and coffee from a machine

I had the self service pancakes each day – they were surprisingly good. I also tried the roast potatoes, the bread and cheeses. As a vegetarian, there wasn’t much on offer for me. However, everything was fresh and tasty.

All of the other food looked perfectly edible. Coffee was served from a machine. I tried a white coffee one day, and it was awful. There was also some nice tea selection, with a range of loose leaf tea and tea bags.

I wanted to try the loose tea, but I couldn’t find a tea strainer! I never had the energy to ask anyone either, so I stuck with the English Breakfast tea.

They didn’t have any porridge (oatmeal), which I found to be annoying. I’m also surprised they didn’t offer make-to-order crepes.

The Swimming Pool and Spa

The hotel had a pool and spa. There was also a steam room, sauna and hammam. Sadly there was no Jacuzzi.

The pool is indoors. So you can use it, even in winter.

The sauna and steam room were decent. View the photos above.

The Fitness Centre

If you’re looking for fitness centres, then the Radisson Blu has you covered. There’s a 24 hour gym for guests to use.

The Best Activities in Paris, France and Disney

Paris is always a good idea! There’s so many amazing things to do. For every budget.

The Notre Dame Cathedral is one of the most awe inspiring cathedrals in the world. Entrance is free and it’s a must visit.

You can book your tickets to Disneyland Paris here. If you’re staying at the Radisson Blu, then you’re probably visiting Disneyland. So make sure you get your tickets in advance.

Book a half day walking tour of paris here. It costs €65. Tour is rated 4.9* from over 2,800 reviews. You’ll have an English guide and will visit 30 landmarks.

The Paris Hotels Disneyland

You’re looking for Paris Hotels Disneyland, but want other options? The Marriott Village D’ile De France is a great hotel to consider. If you’re visiting the Disney Theme Parks.

The resort is amazing for families. They have double guest rooms, 2 bed townhouses and 3 bed townhouses. The Marriott doesn’t have single rooms. These townhouses have full kitchens, furnished garden terraces, washing machines and oversized soaking tubs. They also have valet services.

The property has a lake and many townhouses have lakeside view. There’s an indoor swimming pool and an outdoor swimming pool. Disneyland Paris is 4 miles from the Marriott resort.

Are there any hotels withing walking distance of Disneyland Paris?

The only hotels within walking distance are the Disney hotels. The Disneyland Hotel is 5 minutes walk from the Entrance of Disneyland. You can book your stay at the Disneyland Hotel here.

If you’re looking for hotels near Disneyland Paris without breaking the bank, then choose one with a free shuttle bus.

Which Disneyland Paris hotels have the best reviews?

The Disney Hotel has a very good rating due to its location. The Marriott Property is also well rated.

What are the main differences between official Disney hotels and nearby partner hotels at Disneyland Paris?

This is something that many people ask. The Disneyland Hotels are the closest to the Theme Park. They’re highly rated. With premium rooms and kids corners.

But they’re also very expensive to book. However, if you’re looking a unique Disney experience or a Disney VIP treatment, then a Disney Hotel is your best bet.

Are there any all-inclusive hotel options at Disneyland Paris?

The short answer is no. If you’re visiting a theme park, then you probably don’t want to be paying for food at your hotel too.

My Take on the Radisson Blu

The Radisson Blu is a good option for travellers to Disneyland Paris. For comfortable, modern accommodation with a free shuttle bus to the park. There’s also some activities to keep yourself occupied in the evenings.

A great option if you’re looking for Paris Hotels Disneyland.

You can book your stay at the Radisson Blu here.

The Intercontinental Paris Le Grand is a luxury hotel in the Centre of Paris. Next to Paris Opera. Probably my favourite place in Paris. My review was a mixed bag. The architecture of the hotel is stunning. However, my room was dated.
