Priority Pass Orlando Florida. Plaza Premium Review

The Plaza Premium Lounge in Orlando Airport (Terminal C) is fantastic! It has lovely decoration, loads of hot dishes and complimentary alcohol.

I got into the lounge at 11am, just after it opened. It was practically empty. I had a lovely two hours to sit and relax.

Plaza Premium have an excellent reputation for their lounges, and this one is no exception. This is one of their first lounges in the US. Hopefully they’ll add more. They have over 250 lounges worldwide.

There’s a number of ways to get access to the lounge. You can pay for entry. You can also get access with a Priority Pass Card. In this article, I’ll cover the best ways you can enter the lounge.

I was visiting Orlando on business, and needed lounge access for a couple of hours. Before my return flight to JFK. The Plaza Premium was a real treat. I ate well and got some work done. I was then able to relax (i.e. sleep!) on the flight. It had been a gruelling few days.

I took loads of photos for this review. Given how nice the lounge was, it would be a shame not to. Each photo can be clicked, to open out the full slideshow.

What I Liked

  • Natural Light and runway views
  • Beautiful bar with complimentary alcohol
  • Luxury teas
  • Variety of hot dishes
  • Lounge wasn’t busy

What Could be Improved

  • No complaints from me!

The Entry Requirements

If you're flying in international business class, then you‘ll probably be sent here. British Airways use Terminal C in Orlando Airport.

You can pay for entry on the Plaza Premium Website. They charge $69.18 for a 3 hour visit. It costs more on the door. Airports are super expensive these days, so this could be worth it. A bag of chips set me back $8 at LAX airport!

You can also obtain entry with a Priority Pass Card. Priority Pass is a membership program, that provides access to over 1,600 airport lounges worldwide. Sign up here for a 30% discount.

This offer isn’t a publicly available offer. Thanks to Priority Pass for providing this generous offer to my readers. Standard Plus Membership costs $263 and provides 10 free lounge visits per year. So each visit costs $26.30.

$26.30 isn’t a lot of money for unlimited food, unlimited alcohol and your own personal space. In Orlando Florida, a day at Disney World will easily set you back $300. Once you factor in tickets and food. So a Priority Pass could be a good investment!

The Location

The Plaza Premium Lounge is located in Orlando Airport, Terminal C. You can get to terminal A or B, by using the light rail service.

Once you get through security, it’s just a 5 minute walk to the lounge.

Orlando Airport is lovely and modern. It’s the busiest airport in Florida. Terminal C is nicer than the other terminals.

The Plaza Premium Lounge is on the upper floor, next to the main plaza. Although the entrance is from the lower floor.

The Lounge

The Plaza Premium Lounge is super classy and plush. Full of light and is well designed.

The lounge is mid sized. Essentially it’s two rectangular rooms. The main room has a manned bar, buffet section and a variety of seating. The smaller room has some seating, a drinks counter and a large screen showing kids TV.

The lounge has the following type of seats:

  • Bar seating
  • Low lounge style seating
  • Restaurant style table and chairs
  • Large shared tables
  • Individual work booths

The furniture is very nice and in excellent condition. The centre piece of the lounge is the beautiful manned bar. It’s really nicely designed.

The lounge has lots of natural light. There are floor to ceiling windows, overlooking the runway. Sadly, there weren’t many planes for me to spot. Just a narrow body Sunwing aircraft.

This lounge knows what it needs to do and it does it well. You'll be fed well, get complimentary drinks and have somewhere to sit and work.

The Food

The Plaza Premium Lounge has a decent variety of food. Available from the buffet. The following was on offer:

  • Minestrone soup
  • Fried veggies
  • Rice
  • Mash potatoes
  • Meatballs
  • Roast turkey
  • Bread
  • Pastries
  • Desserts

Everything was fresh and hot. I had mashed potatoes, fried veggies and rice.

The mashed potatoes were lovely and creamy. I’m a bit of an expert on mashed potatoes. It’s basically all I cooked in my four years at university!

The mixed veggies were decent. Although they had a weird sweet taste. Maybe they put sugar in it. I think it might have been a Chinese style dish.

I really enjoyed my meal. I was well fed before my flight. It was properly cooked food. Not freezer food, heated in an oven. Looking at the photos of the food is actually making me hungry!

The Drinks

Coffee is served from a machine. There’s also a selection of luxury teas.

I had an earl grey tea with milk. It was very good. I’m British and am very picky when it comes to tea. So I was happy this time. It’s not easy to find good tea in the US. You guys love your coffee!

Alcohol was available at the bar. There were a range of complimentary drinks. Premium drinks were chargeable. The menu is below.

The bar area itself had a very stunning design. With a marble effect counter top and gold finishes. This combination would look amazing in a kitchen.

Conclusion

The Plaza Premium Lounge in Orlando Terminal 3 is mightily impressive. It has good food, complimentary alcohol and comfortable seating. The design was stunning. The lounge is bathed in natural light.

A great place to relax before your flight. It’s one of the best Plaza Premium lounges I have been to. One of the best contract lounges in the US.

I reviewed the Delta Sky Club in Miami. It was pretty good (although not as good as the Plaza Premium Orlando!). They had a hot buffet, complimentary alcohol and Starbucks drip coffee. My only disappointment was that the lounge was busy.

I stayed at Marriott’s Lakeshore Reserve in Orlando. Review here. The resort is close to Disney World. They have apartments with kitchens, rather than hotel rooms. There’s also loads of activities. A large swimming pool, table tennis, shuffle board etc. In the article, I explain how to book the resort. $199 for 3 nights. A preview package.
