Stansted Airport Lounges. My Guide

If you need a Stansted Airport Lounge, there aren’t many options. You’ve got the Escape Lounge and the Emirates Lounge. And that’s it!

The Emirates Lounge is open to Business Class and First Class Passengers. Emirates First Class is amazing, but a round trip will set you back around £10,000.

If you’re not an oligarch or a hedge fund manager, then there’s another option. The Escape Lounge. Even better, the Escape Lounge can be accessed with a Priority Pass. You can get a 30% Priority Pass Discount on Membership with this exclusive link

Priority Pass is a the most popular lounge membership scheme in the world. It provides access to over 1,700 airport lounges worldwide. Membership starts at £48. Standard Plus Membership is the most popular option. It costs £183 and comes with 10 free visits per year. So each visit costs £18.30.

The 30% discount offer isn't available to the general public. You won't get the offer if you go direct to the Priority Pass Website.

Airport Lounge access is a massive upgrade on your travel experience. At the Escape Lounge you’ll have a hot buffet, unlimited alcohol, fast wi-fi and your own personal space. It’s crazy that all this only costs £18.30.

These days, a burger and a beer costs £25 in the airport terminal. It’s a no brainer to go to an airport lounge instead.

The first time I went into an airport lounge was a spiritual experience for me! I’ve seen the good life and I’m not going back. I don’t miss standing in the terminal building as I wait for my flight. With the bright lights beaming down from the ceiling. As if I’m being interrogated by the CIA!

The Escape Lounge does sometimes hit capacity. If so, then you’ll need to queue outside. You can pay £6 to Priority Pass and guarantee entry at a specific time. Use this link.

Priority Pass Lounges Worldwide

Priority Pass have over 1,700 airport lounges worldwide. There are multiple Priority Pass Lounges in each Heathrow Terminal. And I’ve been to most of them!

I reviewed the Plaza Premium Lounge in Heathrow Terminal 4. It’s a large space with natural light, runway views, cook to order food, hot buffet and complimentary alcohol. A thumbs up from me!

I reviewed the Club Aspire in Heathrow Terminal 5 on my Youtube channel. View the video below.

One of my favourite Priority Pass Lounges in the world has to be the Virgin Clubhouse in New York, JFK. Yes, you can access it with a Priority Pass Card! They have unlimited champagne, restaurant quality food, great runway views and a fun vibe.

Getting to Stansted Airport

There’s a train to Stansted Airport from Central London. It’s called the Stansted Express. I think it should be illegal for this train use the word 'Express', given how slow it is! It’s also expensive. It should be called the Stansted rip-off. A one way ticket costs £22. Last time I took the train, it took 1 hour from Liverpool Street.

You can get to Stansted with a taxi. I use minicabit to book my taxis. They’re a comparison tool. They return price quotes from loads of different cab companies. So you can get the best price.

My Take on Stansted Lounges

I’ve been a Priority Pass Member for over 10 years now, and I’m a huge fan. I won’t go back to sitting in the airport terminal. Having kids trip over my legs. As I eat an overpriced sandwich and spill coffee on my top!

If you need a Stansted Airport Lounge, then Priority Pass have got you covered. The Escape Lounge is an excellent Stansted Airport Lounge option. It’s an even better deal if you utilise the 30% Priority Pass Discount.

My blog has loads of amazing travel reviews. One of my favourite trips was to the Intercontinental Danang in Vietnam. A stunning resort on the side of a hill, overlooking the sea. There were wanderlust views everywhere. And best of all. The resort had its own cable car to get up and down the hill. How cool is that?!

I created this blog to share my personal experiences while travelling the world. And to help my audience upgrade their travel. I love nothing more than waking up in the middle of the night, to get to a lounge early, and do a review. My wife is less pleased with my habits!
