They have hotels right in the centre. There’s even a Best Western Hotel on Buckingham Palace Road! They also have properties a little further away.


Best Western is one of my favourite hotel chains. I’m a big fan. Their hotels are modern, well located and fairly priced. They also have a good loyalty program. You earn points when you stay. Which can be converted to shopping vouchers, air miles or free hotel stays.

The hotels listed 1st are closest to the centre of London. As you go down, the hotels are further away. Generally, the hotels in the centre are more expensive.

When booking a night with Best Western Hotels, it’s best book on the Best Western Website. This is usually a better option than booking through a travel agent, like Booking.com.

If you book direct, then you earn points in the Best Western Loyalty Program. These points can be used for free nights at Best Western Hotels. The Points can also be transferred to different air miles programs. You don’t earn points if you book through a travel agent.

Best Western also have a Low Rate Guarantee. They promise that they’ll offer the lowest price for their rooms. If you find a cheaper rate somewhere else, then Best Western will match the lower price and give you a $100 voucher to spend. Full details are on this page.

Best Western Corona

The Best Western Corona is located in Westminster. In the very centre of London. Buckingham Palace and The Houses or Parliament are both 1 mile away.

Oxford Street is 2 miles away. It’s the most famous shopping street in London. Oxford Circus is on Oxford Street.

The hotel is an excellent base, for hitting the best sights. The hotel is in an elegant Victorian Conversion. Room rates start at £120/night.



Best Western Buckingham Palace Road

The Best Western Buckingham Palace Road is half a mile away from Buckingham Palace. The hotel is 1 mile away from The Houses or Parliament. This makes the hotel an excellent base for sightseeing in London. Room rates start at £180/night.


 


Best Western Plus Vauxhall Hotel

The Best Western Plus is located in the Vauxhall region of London. Vauxhall is slightly out from the centre. You’re 1.5 miles away from The Houses of Parliament. You’re 2 miles away from Buckingham Palace.

Vauxhall is located south of the River Thames. The river cuts London in half. Nearly all of the best attractions are north of the river. You’ll need to cross the river to get to Oxford Street, Piccadilly Circus etc.

The Queensway Hotel has an amazing location and an even better price! The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Hyde Park. It’s 15 minutes walk from Oxford Street. Even better is that prices start at £80/night for a room.

The hotel is 5 minutes walk from Paddington Station. Which has direct trains to Heathrow Airport. The Heathrow Express trains take 15 minutes to travel to the airport. Kids travel for free on the Heathrow Express. If you book online, then save 40% on the full price. Book online at this website.


Best Western Plus Delmere Hotel

The Best Western Plus Delmere Hotel is right next to the Queensway Hotel. It’s a more luxury hotel and rooms start at £100/night.

The hotel was completely rebuilt in 2015. Each room has a rain shower and a large Smart TV. The Hotel has complimentary tea, coffee and newspapers for all guests.



Best Western Mornington Hotel

The Best Western Mornington Hotel is 10 minutes walk from the Best Western Plus Delmere Hotel. The hotel is right next to Lancaster Gate, Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. These are some of the nicest parks in London.

The hotel is excellent value. Rooms start at £100/night. The hotel has a 24 hour fitness centre. The hotel is 15 minutes walk for Oxford Street.



Mornington London Kensington, BW Premier Collection


The Mornington London Kensington, BW Premier Collection is in Earls Court. Earls Court is a lovely part of West London. Room rates start at £100/night.

It’s not right in the centre of London. If you want to be next to the tourist attractions, this isn’t the best option. Earls Court is half a mile away from South Kensington. Which is one of the nicest parts of the city.

South Kensington is famous for its wonderful museums and art galleries. The Natural History Museum and the Science Museum are in South Kensington. Both museums have free entry. The Natural History Museum also has an ice rink that opens up in Winter.



 

 


Best Western Swiss Cottage Hotel

The Best Western Swiss Cottage Hotel is located is in the Hampstead Region of London. This is a residential neighbourhood and one of nicest parts of London. Full disclosure, I lived in Hampstead for many years!

The area has some amazing parks. Hampstead Heath, Primrose Hill Park and Regents Park are well recommended. Primrose Hill Park is located on a hill. Walk to the top and get an amazing view of London.

Room rates start at £105/night. The hotel is 2.5 miles away from Oxford Street. You can get there easily by bus or train.


Best Western London Highbury

The Best Western London Highbury is located in the Islington Region of London. Room rates start at £50/night, which is great value. Islington is an upmarket part of London. Full of young professionals, cool cafes and trendy bars. However, the hotel is a little far from the action.

Highbury station is 2 miles away. However, the journey takes 15 minutes by tube (FYI: Londoners call the metro, the tube!). If you need to travel to Central London and hit the sights, then Oxford Circus is 4 miles away. You can get there very quickly, by taking the tube. The journey only takes 20 minutes by the Victoria Line train.

Tottenham Hotspur Football stadium is close by. As is Finsbury Park.


The Crown London, WorldHotels Distinctive

The Crown London, WorldHotels Distinctive is located in the Cricklewood suburb of North West London. Room rates start at £85/night. You’re 5 miles from Oxford Circus.

The hotel has a bar, restaurant and fitness centre. You can also get to Wembley Stadium in 30 minutes. Which is the home of English football.


Putney Hotel, BW Signature Collection

The Putney Hotel, BW Signature Collection is in the Putney suburb of South London. Room rates start at £70/night. The hotel is 6 miles from Oxford Circus. The journey will take around 40 minutes by train. You can get to Wimbledon in 30 minutes, which hosts the famous tennis tournament.

The Best Western Chiswick Palace & Suites is located in Chiswick. A nice suburb of west London. Room rates start at £95/night. The hotel is 7 miles from Oxford Street. The journey will take 40 minutes by train.

The hotel is 20 minutes from Kew Gardens, which the best botanical gardens in London. They have an amazing light show every winter, which comes highly recommended. My daughter loved it! They have Christmas themed light decorations, mulled wine and other Christmas delights.

The Best Western Northfields Ealing Hotel is located in Ealing. Ealing is a residential neighbourhood in West London. The hotel is 10 miles from Oxford Circus. The journey takes 45 minutes by train. Room rates start at £60/night.

The London Croydon Aerodrome Hotel, BW Signature Collection is located in the Croydon suburb of South London. The hotel is a long way from Central London. 15 miles from Oxford Circus. The journey will take 1 hour by train. Room rates start at £55/night.

Best Western Plus Grims Dyke Hotel

The Best Western Plus Grims Dyke Hotel is located in the suburb of Harrow. The hotel is 16 miles from Oxford Circus. The journey will take 1 hour by train. Room rates start at £55/night, which is amazing value.

The hotel is in a 19th century country house. The hotel is pet friendly. They charge £25 per pet, per night.

Stonehenge is one of the most famous places on Earth. I’ve been there a few times, and it’s an amazing place. However, visitors aren’t allowed to walk in the middle of the stones. You have to walk around the outside, behind a rope. Unless you book a special tour.
