Gatwick Airport Lounges. A quick guide and a great discount!

There are 12 Gatwick Airport Lounges. A mixture of airline lounges and 3rd party lounges. In this article, I cover the different lounges at Gatwick and the how to get access. I also explain how to get a 30% Priority Pass Discount. Hint, use this link!

Airport Lounge access has changed my life! Free hot food, unlimited alcohol, fast wi-fi and my own personal space. Airport Terminals are no longer places to be endured. The lounge access makes the terminal part of my holiday. I’ve seen the good life and I’m not going back!

Gatwick Airport is the 2nd largest airport in the UK (behind Heathrow). Gatwick focuses on leisure travellers. The two biggest airlines are Easyjet and British Airways.

Easyjet don’t operate their own lounges.

British Airways do have a business class lounge at Gatwick. But getting in is expensive. You can get in with a business class ticket or if you have British Airways status. Long Haul business class flights start at £2,000 return, and can go up to £6,000.

British Airways Silver members get access to their lounges. However, you need to spend £7,500 with British Airways to become a silver member. Ouch! It will never be worth spending £7,500 with British Airways, just to access their lounges. Unless you work for a company that pays for your corporate travel (lucky you!).

So what if you’re flying with Easyjet or in British Airways Economy? Are you damned to spending 2 hours in the terminal building. Tripping over people’s legs and paying £20 for a dry burger?!

Definitely not! For a while now, the best option for airport lounge access has been with a Priority Pass Membership. They are the biggest lounge membership scheme in the world. Providing access to over 1,700 airport lounges worldwide.

Signup here with my exclusive link and get 30% Priority Pass Discount. Membership starts at £48 for a standard membership. The most popular plan is Standard Plus, which costs £183 per year and comes with 10 free lounge visits. So each visit costs £18.30. This is easily the best way to access an airport lounge. £18.30 for unlimited hot food, unlimited drinks and your own personal space.

These days, a sandwich, muffin and a coffee at Starbucks costs you more than £18. Hell, a glass of wine will cost at least £10 in an airport terminal.

This generous offer from Priority Pass has been going for a little while now. It’s not going to last forever. So if you’re thinking about jumping in, I wouldn’t wait. Also, you won’t get this offer if you go directly to the Priority Pass Website.

The Gatwick Airport Lounges

When it comes to Gatwick Airport Lounges, Priority Pass have got you covered! Gatwick Airport has two terminals. North and South. There are three Priority Pass Lounges in each terminal, making a total of six Priority Pass Lounges.

In the North Terminal, you have the Plaza Premium Lounge, The No1 Lounge and the Gateway Lounge. In the South Terminal, you have the My Lounge, Club Aspire and No1 Lounge.

One thing to know, is that the lounges sometimes hit capacity. If so, then you’ll need to queue outside. You can pay £6 to Priority Pass to guarantee entry to a lounge on a given day. Use this link. It’s well worth the money!

Priority Pass Lounges Worldwide

Priority Pass don’t just have Gatwick Airport Lounges. Priority Pass provide access to over 1,700 airport lounges worldwide.

At Heathrow Airport, one of my favourite lounges is the Plaza Premium Lounge in Heathrow Terminal 5. Review Here. They have stunning décor, runway views, unlimited hot buffet and unlimited alcohol.

The Eventyr Lounge in Copenhagen Airport is fabulous! Review here. They have beer on tap. They even have wine on tap. How cool is that! The food was lovely and they had terrific runway views. In my review, I got a great photo of a British Airways jet as it came in!

Getting to Gatwick Airport

You can get direct trains from Central London to Gatwick from a number of stations. Including Victoria, London Bridge, Blackfriars and St Pancras. The cost of a train ticket is about £15. This option is best for single travellers. If you’re travelling in a group, it’s better to take a taxi or your own car.

If you need a taxi, don’t take a black taxi! Gatwick Airport is outside London. A black taxi will cost around £150 one way. Better to book a minicab. I use minicabit to pre-book taxis. They’re a price comparison tool. So you can find the cheapest company to take you to the airport.

You can also take your own car and park at the airport. Official Gatwick Parking is here. I wouldn’t use a 3rd party car park. They charge similar prices to the official airport parking, and I’ve heard many horror experiences. Think waiting at the airport terminal for 3 hours to get picked up and taken to the car park!

My Take on Lounge access at Gatwick Airport

Gatwick Airport has some fabulous lounges. The best way to enter them is a with a Priority Pass Membership. I’ve been a member of Priority Pass for years. For me, it really makes my trip.

I won’t go back to sitting in the airport terminal. With kids tripping over my legs and bright lights piercing my eyes! And with a 30% Priority Pass Discount, it’s a real no brainer.

I love travel, it’s what I live for. My blog has loads of amazing reviews. I stayed at the Conrad Maldives. A truly spectacular resort, located on two private islands. The breakfast was surely the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a hotel. The villa was stunning. Everything was amazing. I also got a great deal, by using Hilton Points.
