The AMEX Centurion Lounge is located in Terminal B of Los Angeles International Airport. It’s open to AMEX Platinum, AMEX Centurion and Delta SkyMiles Reserve cardholders.
I was there during breakfast time. I stayed for 1 hour with my family. The lounge is pretty good.
They had a full breakfast buffet and complimentary bar with alcohol. They also have a kids play area, business zone and different types of seating.
My only complaint was that the lounge was busy. This is a common problem at AMEX Centurion Lounges. They’re busy because they’re good! At busy times, the lounge will hit capacity and turn away cardholders.

In general, American Express have the best lounge access of all premium credit cards. You get access to the following lounges with an AMEX Platinum card:
Priority Pass have a network of over 1,500 Airport Lounges worldwide.
Priority Pass cards are offered, with the American Express Platinum Card. You can also buy membership from Priority Pass. If you use this link, then you can get 30% off your membership.
Standard Plus Membership costs $263 and offers 10 free lounge visits per year. Each visit will cost $26.30. Great value for unlimited food, unlimited alcohol and your own private space.
Prestige membership costs $422. It offers unlimited lounge visits.

The LAX AMEX Centurion Lounge is in Terminal B of LAX airport. That’s the international terminal of Los Angeles International Airport.
Once you pass through security, you immediately turn left. Follow signs to the Centurion Lounge. You’ll take an elevator 2 floors down, to get to the entrance.
I’ve also reviewed the OneWorld Lounge at LAX airport. It’s in the same terminal. That lounge is terrific. Excellent food. Excellent drinks. Lovely kids play area. One of the best lounges in the US.
The LAX AMEX Centurion Lounge feels smaller than it is. It’s made of 8 rooms, with no natural light.
I entered the lounge at 6.30am and it was busy. Most of the tables were taken. The lounge got busier during my stay.
At busy times, the lounge will hit capacity and turn away guests. This is a big problem at Centurion Lounges Worldwide. Luckily, I’ve yet to be turned away from an AMEX Centurion Lounge!
In terms of seating, there were lots of tables and chairs. There were some personal booths for privacy, day sleep beds, little seats in the kids play area and bar seating.
The lounge doesn’t have any natural light. There are no windows to the outside.
In terms of décor, everything is perfectly fine. The furniture is all in good condition. But it’s certainly not luxury.
American Express have done a good job with limited footprint. As there’s no natural light and 8 rooms, it feels smaller than it is. The lounge is 14,000 square foot and has capacity for 530 guests. There are narrow corridors between the rooms.

The lounge has a kids play area. Which is basically a room with a TV playing cartoons. With loads of little chairs and tables.
I sat there for 1 hour, as it was the only place with seats available.
I was there during the breakfast service. It was very good. A full spread. Similar to what you might get at a 4* hotel. The following dishes were offered
I had oatmeal, roast potatoes and a seeded bagel. The bagel was perfectly fine. The potatoes were good - well seasoned. The oatmeal was average. I make better at home!
My daughter enjoyed her French toast. My daughter and my son demolished their yoghurts!
I appreciate that I got to have a proper meal before my flight. This was a proper meal. A full breakfast that filled me up and satisfied me. In the terminal building, a decent breakfast for four would have cost $80.
There were tea and coffee stations dotted around the lounge. The tea selection was by Twinings. An English brand. Coffee was served from a machine.
Complimentary alcohol was served from the manned bars. Centurion Lounges are famous for their cocktails, made by mixologists.
I started off with an English breakfast tea. It was really good. Exactly what I needed.
I also had an Americano coffee with milk. Also excellent. It tasted smooth and rich. Not bitter at all.
Los Angeles is one the best places on earth. It’s the home to Hollywood, Disney World and the Dodgers. There’s so many amazing things to do when you visit. Below are some of my favourite activities.

You’ll visit Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Rodeo Drive, Original Farmers Market, Griffith Park, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Hollywood Sign, Sunset Strip and more.
One of the coolest things in LA is the Hollywood sign. You can book a private Ferrari to the Hollywood Sign for $125. The Ferrari can hold 3 passengers, so this is excellent value. A pro driver will take you to the best viewpoint, for photos with the sign. The tour is rated 5* from 567 reviews and it always sells out.
My favourite LA food tour is with Secret Food tours. They do food tours worldwide, and are very highly regarded. Book here for $99. The tour is rated 5* from 248 reviews. A local guide with take you to the best food in the city.
You’ll try Acai Bowls, Argentinian Empanadas, Fish Tacos, Quesabirria, Churo Waffles, Taquitos, Chips and Salsa, Cheese Enchilada, French Dip, Roast Duck, Almond cookies and a secret dish. I’m getting hungry now!
The LAX AMEX Centurion Lounge was good. To be honest, I wanted to stay for longer. I only got one hour.
In that one hour, I fit in a lot. I got food for my kids. I filled up my son’s milk bottles. I took photos for this review. I also had my breakfast and some tea/coffee. Hopefully your visit will be more relaxing!
The lounge has complimentary alcohol, full breakfast spread and a wide variety of seating. It’s a good place to spend a couple of hours before your flight. I recommend to visit.

I flew in Delta Domestic First Class. Review here. They have a large recliner seat, friendly crew and complimentary alcohol. Sadly, the food was really bad!
