The Air Canada lounge is decent. It’s located in Frankfurt Airport Terminal 1. It has natural light, hot food and self pour alcohol. The lounge also has a really cool model of an Air Canada plane.
It’s not the height of luxury, but it’s a decent place to chill before your flight. I could happily spend 2 to 3 hours in this lounge. I really loved the quality of their tea and the modern design!
It’s in the non Schengen part of terminal 1. Near to the Lufthansa lounges.
I accessed the lounge as I was flying in Business Class to London with Lufthansa.
This review has lots of photos. So you’ll know exactly what to expect when you visit. Each photo can be clicked to open out the full slideshow.
The Air Canada Frankfurt Airport Lounge is in the non-Schengen part of Terminal 1.
The Schengen Zone is made up of European Union countries. Members of the zone don’t have an internal borders. There are no border controls between different countries in the Schengen Zone.
The members include most countries in the European Union (including France and Germany). Ireland is one notable exception. A country in the EU, but not part of the Schengen Zone.
The non-Schengen part of Terminal 1 will fly you to countries outside the Schengen zone.
There was a small buffet counter on one side of the lounge. It has the following options.
I was very hungry when I arrived. On the preceding flight, I chose to skip breakfast and sleep longer. Big mistake!
The food wasn’t great. I had some pancakes. They were hard and lacking taste. I also had a pretzel.
I made sure to eat something as I was so hungry. But I didn’t enjoy the food!
The Air Canada Frankfurt Airport Lounge has self pour alcohol on the buffet counter. There was a wide variety of alcohol. This included beer on tap, wine, prosecco and spirits.
Coffee was served from a machine. I didn’t try it.
There was a tea selection from Eilles. I think it’s a German brand. The Lufthansa lounges also served the same brand.
I had an English breakfast tea. It was very good. I could feel myself perk up as I drank it!
By this point, I’d been travelling for the 20 hours straight. Since I left my hotel in Orlando to drive to the airport. I was basically high off my own tiredness at this point!
It was good to have a decent cup of tea. I tried a green tea from Eilles. Also fantastic!
I have also reviewed the British Airways lounge in Heathrow Terminal 5. It was an impressive lounge. With nice food and a lovely design.
Wow, this Air Canada lounge is such a great place to chill! I love the feeling of having natural light, hot food, and self pour alcohol. It's not the height of luxury, but it's a decent place to "Drift Boss" your way through 2 to 3 hours before a flight.
