Hotel At Goregaon East. Radisson Mumbai Goregaon Review

The Radisson Mumbai Goregaon is near the Bombay Exhibition Centre. Along with the Westin Mumbai Garden City, it’s the only international hotel in the area. It has a swimming pool, a range of restaurants and modern decoration. The hotel is smart. However, it describes itself as 5* - I think that’s a little optimistic!

This hotel is worth staying at, if you need a hotel at Goregaon East. Goregaon is a suburb of Mumbai, just north of the airport.

In this article, I give full details of my stay at the Radisson Mumbai Goregaon. All of the photos pop out into a slideshow.

What I liked

  • Hotel has pool and fitness centre
  • Not far from the airport
  • Close to Bombay Exhibition Centre
  • Multiple restaurants on site

What could be improved

  • Decoration is dull and uninspiring
  • Rooms are small. View was not good
  • No room upgrade as a Radisson Gold

The Hotel

The Radisson Mumbai Goregaon is next to a flyover. This makes for an uninspiring exterior! It’s next to the madness of Mumbai. It’s not beautiful, but it’s authentic!

The hotel has the following features:

  • Fitness centre and pool
  • Small and modern rooms
  • Near Bombay Exhibition Centre
  • Business hotel. Not Luxury Hotel

If you need a hotel at Goregaon East, then it’s a good option. The hotel is also good if you wish to visit Bandra. That is where the Bollywood stars live.

If you plan to visit South Mumbai, then this hotel isn’t right for you. South Mumbai is where the major tourist attractions are. Including India Gate and Marine Drive. The hotel is 30km from South Mumbai. It takes 4 hours by taxi in rush hour.

The hotel isn’t far from Mumbai Airport. If you fly through the airport, I can recommend the Business Lounge. Review Here. It’s a lovely and bright lounge. The food is excellent too.

At Mumbai Airport, the Loyalty Lounge can be accessed with a Priority Pass. The lounge has horrible bright lights and watered down beer. However, the food was excellent and high quality. It’s an interesting place! That review is the most popular page on this site!

The Lobby

I took a few photos of the Lobby. These can be seen in the above slideshow.

The Radisson Mumbai Goregaon lobby was the best part of the hotel. This is very common for modern hotels. They want to impress visitors when they 1st walk in. The lobby was smart, but no more than that. It certainly didn’t wow me!

The Room

I found the room to be unimpressive. It had the following features:

  • King size bed
  • Small Desk
  • Small bathroom
  • Basic tea and coffee facilities
  • Awful view from window

The room was small. Smaller than the rooms at a Holiday Inn Express. Those hotels market themselves as 4*. This hotel claims to be 5*.

I thought the décor was bland and uninspiring.

The view from the window was horrible. You can see this from the above slideshow. It looks like I didn’t get a room upgrade. This was disappointing. I’m a Radisson Gold and the hotel was nearly empty. They should have upgraded me to a decent room.

The Restaurant

The Radisson Mumbai Goregaon has some swanky looking bars and restaurants.

I walked down to the 2nd floor, where all of the restaurants are located. I took some photos, which are in the above slideshow. I didn’t eat at the restaurants on this occasion.

Overall

The Radisson Mumbai Goregaon is a 4* hotel, that claims to be 5*. Nothing about this hotel is 5* quality.

It’s a smart hotel. It’s one of the few Goregaon Hotels in Mumbai. It’s well located for the Bombay Exhibition Centre. If you need to be in the area, it’s a good option. If you need to travel, then I suggest you go elsewhere. I was disappointed by the tiny rooms and the poor view.

Mumbai is a massive city, with lots of hotels. I’ve reviewed many of them. My favourite hotel has to be the St Regis Mumbai. It’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at. I was upgraded to a massive suite overlooking the Arabian Sea. The Lobby was unbelievable. It looked like a grand French Ballroom!

The Grand Hyatt Mumbai is a beautiful hotel in the business district. Review Here. The hotel is massive with stunning grounds. The breakfast was very high quality.

I’ve also reviewed the Hilton Mumbai International Airport. Review Here. It’s a charming little hotel. 5 minutes from the airport. The lobby is really nice and I loved the Executive Lounge.
