The Singapore Lounge Heathrow Terminal 2 is a solid lounge. The have delectable food, a wide variety of drinks and nice runway views.
Just be careful. It’s a 15 minute walk from the main terminal. The lounge is located in the satellite building of Terminal 2. You need to take the underground walkway to get here. The Lufthansa Lounge is in the main terminal building, so that’s a quicker option.
Heathrow Terminal 2 is the home of Star Alliance, with four airline lounges. Air Canada, Lufthansa, United Airlines and Singapore Airlines all have a lounge here. The access requirements are the same for each lounge. So you’re spoilt for choice!

You can get in if you hold Gold Status with a Star Alliance Airline. Or if you’re flying in Business (or First) with a Star Alliance Airline.
Heathrow Terminal 2 is called the Queens Terminal. It’s the Star Alliance hub in Heathrow.

Frankly, their Business and First Class seats are spectacular. I flew in Singapore Airlines First Class. Review here. It’s a 50 foot apartment in the sky. With separate armchair and bed, Krug champagne and amazing food.
If you don’t have access to the Singapore Airlines Lounge, then there are other options in Heathrow Terminal 2. The Plaza Premium Lounge allows you to pay for entry. Review here. That lounge is really nice. With stunning décor, fresh food and complimentary alcohol. Just know that the Plaza Premium Lounge doesn’t have any natural light.

Priority Pass is a membership program that provides access to over 1,600 airport lounges worldwide. Standard Plus Membership works out at £18.30 per lounge visit. So £18.30 for your own personal space, free food and free alcohol.
That sure beats sitting in the terminal building. With kids tripping over your feet as you eat a £12 sandwich. Which tastes like crap!
The lounge is in Heathrow Terminal 2. Satellite Terminal B. From the main building, you have a 15 minute walk via the underground walkway. It’s a bit of a pain.
Long haul flights tend to leave from Satellite Terminal B. So it’s convenient if you're flying far away.
The Singapore Airlines Lounge is opposite the Air Canada Lounge. Air Canada is also Star Alliance, so you can use that lounge if you want to. My review of the Air Canada Lounge is here. The Air Canada Lounge has a sleek and modern design. It was also far less busy than the Singapore Lounge.
The lounge is mid sized. It’s open daily between 5.30am and 10pm. There’s a buffet near the entrance, which serves all the food. There’s a manned bar in the main section of the lounge. There’s also a separate tea and coffee station.
The majority of seating is lounge style low seats. Modern leather style. There were some private booths, which are great for the introverts amongst us. Every booth was taken, during my stay. There were restaurant style table and chairs near the buffet. There were also some high tables and stools.
There were floor to ceiling windows to the outside. Some nice runway views. Although it was raining hard on the day I visited. So the photos weren’t great. On a sunny day, the views would be awesome.
The lounge was pretty busy on the day I was there. A lot of the seats were taken. Although there was enough space for me! I was travelling alone. If I’d been travelling with a group, it would have been difficult to find seats for us all.
I was very impressed with the buffet. Frankly, I wouldn’t expect anything else from Singapore Airlines!
The food was served from the buffet near the entrance of the lounge. The following was on offer
I had the Haka noodles. Just a small plate. It was pretty good. It’s a very simple dish that’s difficult to mess up!
I didn’t try the other dishes. But the chicken curry and beef tacos looked to be well made. It looked like chef made food. Rather than freezer food, heated in an oven. If you come here, then you’ll get a proper meal.
Drinks were served from three locations.
They served coffee from a machine. The tea selection was from Twinings. I had a filtered water. I also had a cup of chamomile tea, and an English breakfast tea. I enjoyed my drinks!
The manned bar had a lovely design. There were tons of premium drinks on offer. Including gin cocktails and Prosecco.
The Singapore Airlines Lounge has everything that I expect in an airline lounge. Good food, complimentary alcohol, runway views and your own personal space.
The lounge isn’t earth shattering. And I wouldn’t wake up in the middle of night, to get to the lounge early. But it’s a decent place to relax before your flight.
There’s a lot of lounges competing with this lounge for your attention! There are four Star Alliance Lounges in Heathrow Terminal 2, and the standard is very high.
You need to do a 15 minutes walk from the main terminal building to the satellite terminal, to use the Singapore Airlines Lounge. The Lufthansa Lounge is in the main terminal building. So that’s a more convenient option.
The United Airlines Lounge is also in Heathrow Terminal 2. Review Here. Just two minutes walk from the Singapore Airlines Lounge. In all honestly, it’s my favourite lounge in Heathrow Terminal 2. The lounge has a stunning design, with floor to ceiling runway views and a beautiful manned bar.
