I finally made it!
Now I’ve reviewed the BA Lounge Heathrow Terminal 3, I’ve reviewed every British Airways Business Lounge in England.
I’ve reviewed the other three BA business lounges at Heathrow (click here for the review of lounge 5B). I’ve reviewed the British Airways Arrivals Lounge in Terminal 5. And the BA business lounge at Gatwick.
The BA Lounge Heathrow Terminal 3 is solid. There was a hot buffet with full English Breakfast. A wide variety of drinks. Alcoholic and non alcoholic.
It’s also a large lounge (350 metres squared), with runway views and lots of natural light. The décor was pretty nice too.
I took lots of photos for this review. Each photo can be clicked to open out the full slideshow.
This page on my website has some of my favourite travel tools. To save money on luxury travel.
The following people can access the BA Lounge Heathrow Terminal 3
Ticketed Passengers
Oneworld Alliance Access
Status-Based Access
If you have access to this lounge. You also have access to the Cathay Pacific, Qantas and American Airlines Lounges.
I got access as I was flying business with American. My review of American Airlines Business Class is here. My Youtube review is below. It’s not as good as British Airways.
If you can’t access the British Airways Lounge Heathrow, there’s other options in Heathrow Terminal 3. Even if you’re not flying in Business Class.
There’s two lounges that can be accessed with a Priority Pass Membership. The No1 Lounge (review here) and the MyLounge (review here). I’ve been to both and like them both. Both had hot breakfast, complimentary alcohol and runway views.
The photos above are from my visit to the No1 Lounge, Heathrow Terminal 3.
Priority Pass is the largest airport lounge network in the world. You can enter over 1,800 lounges worldwide.
Signup to Priority Pass here for a 30% discount. Membership starts at £48. Standard Plus costs £183 and comes with 10 free visits. So each visit costs £18.30.
I’m a big fan of Priority Pass, but the program isn’t perfect. The Heathrow Lounges do get busy. If a lounge is busy, then you might not be allowed in. You can pre-book a timeslot with Priority Pass for £6. This will guarantee entry to the lounge.
Overall, I love Priority Pass. It saves me money and has upgraded my airport experience.
The BA lounge Heathrow is located in Terminal 3. British Airways operate some flights out of Terminal 3. Although most of their flights operate out of Terminal 5.
The British Airways Lounge Heathrow is next to all the other lounges in terminal 3. It's a 5 minute walk after security. I find it super convenient to have all the lounges next to each other.
There’s also the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse in Heathrow Terminal 3. My review of the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse is here. It’s amazing. Better than the BA Lounge, if I’m honest! They have champagne on tap and an outside roof terrace. My Youtube review is below.
London is a global city with so many fun things to do. For every budget. Some of my favourite things are listed below.
The British Museum is one of the greatest collection of artefacts in the world. Exhibits include the Rosetta Stone, Parthenon Sculptures and the Lewis Chessmen. Entry is free. No need to pre-book, just turn up.
One of my favourite London tours is to climb to the roof of the iconic O2 arena in Greenwich. Book here for just £37. Tour is rated 5* from over 2,500 reviews. The O2 arena is one of the most famous venues in the world (photo above). Get panoramic views over London from the top.
The BA Lounge Heathrow Terminal 3 is over 350 square metres and has capacity for over 350 guests. It’s open daily from 5am to 10pm.
The lounge is similar to other BA Business lounges I’ve been to.
It has the following features.
One thing I like about the BA lounges is the mood. There was low lighting and calming music. It captures my mood perfectly. When I’m at the airport, I’m normally tired but also excited for the trip ahead.
There are panoramic windows to the outside with runway views. One of the windows had individual leather seats looking to the outside. Like a move theatre. It was really cool. You could sit down with some refreshments and watch the show as the aircraft take off.
The lounge décor was really nice. As is often the case with British Airways Lounges. They had modern pieces of furniture and a Silver Bar with Swarovski chandeliers.
They also had a small kids play area, which my son really enjoyed.
The lounge wasn’t super busy when I was there. I would say around half the seats were occupied.
If you’re travelling in First Class with British Airways, there’s a dedicated area in the lounge just for you. This is segregated from the rest of the lounge. I didn’t have access to this part of the lounge, as I was travelling in business.
The food at the BA Lounge Heathrow Terminal 3 was pretty good. although not amazing. It’s definitely not the best food I’ve had at a British Airways Lounge. That prize still goes to the BA Lounge in Miami. They were serving Filet Mignon when I was there. I (almost!) regretted being vegetarian.
All of the food was served from the hot buffet near the entrance. The following dishes were on offer
Basically a full English breakfast. The quality was decent too.
I wasn’t hungry. I had a large bowl of bran flakes at home. But I made sure to take a plate for this review.
I’ve been gaining weight. But dammit, this review is more important than my health! (edit: I have since lost the wait in the months following).
I had some baked beans, cooked mushrooms and hash browns. They were solid, not amazing. As I expected. The mushrooms could have done with some seasoning!
There was a pancake station. Which served waffles and pancakes. My son devoured one of the waffles. But they didn’t look great. The food had been out for some time.
The slideshow above has some lovely pics of the food.
British Airways have a wide variety of alcohol in their lounge. With beers, wines, prosecco and spirits. I was there at 8am and had no desire to get shit-faced! So I didn’t touch the alcohol.
British Airways doesn’t offer champagne in its business class lounges. This is different to Virgin, that does provide champagne.
There weren’t many people drinking in this lounge at 8am. Interestingly, when I travel via Luton or Stansted. A lot more people partake in early morning drinking, compared to Heathrow. My review of the No1 Lounge Luton Airport is here. About half the guests were drinking alcohol at 7am!
I had an English breakfast tea. From Twinings. It was pretty good. BA are offering Birchall tea in some of their lounges, which is much better. I look forward to seeing this offered more widely.
There were also coffee machines in the lounge. I didn’t have any coffee, so I can’t attest to the quality.
There were a wide variety of cold drinks in cans. I don’t drink fizzy drinks, do I didn’t touch these. But as the drinks were in cans, you could probably take a couple away with you.
The BA Lounge Heathrow Terminal 3 was really good. It does everything that it should and it does it well.
There was a wide variety of hot food, complimentary alcohol, classy décor, runway views and lots of seating.
Club Suite is the name of British Airways Long Haul Business Class. My review is here. My flight was super impressive. With a comfy seat, excellent food and nice service. My veg curry impressed!
